file storage

Is there any way for me to do maintenance by FTP? I know I'm storing a few images--and sometimes this is a temporary thing.

If I don't clean them out-- they'll gather dust there.

I was intrigued by this--- not sure I would put it on main page-- more an exercise of curiousity.

BJS is back

Thanks to Meera's kindness. (Really all those rumors you heard are rumors. And she was not even NEAR there when THAT happened), BJS is back

Are things perfect? No. My old provider is still screwy and so the import file I gave Meera is incomplete. What's more, every time I try to regenerate it, it gives a different breaking point.

Odd.

Anyway, BJS is alive and well once again. Hail, Meera!

Meera: How do I put the SSS graphic on the Blog (ie, what is its address so I can reference it on the template?)

Since it was discussed...

If anyone wants me to set up the MT to LJ crosspost plug-in, it'd take about five minutes. Let me know.

(Other plug-ins you might be interested in...)

Importing

Thank Jvstin for having a premade import file!

I've been getting a lot of questions on importing, and I'll try to explain again what the problem is:

the import file has to be set up a certain way.

The official specs are available but a little unclear.

Import files have to be sent to me directly. Just a matter of permissions on the server I really can't change.

This is what it needs to look like:

eight dashes
AUTHOR: your login name
TITLE: your entry title
DATE: xx/xx/xxxx xx:xx:xx XM
CATEGORY: optional
five dashes
BODY:
entry
five dashes
and so on and so forth.

up to step 21 is fairly good.

Remember, your personal directory is:
