Sonja Blue vs Sony

Population: One: Vampires in law

This law case being more involved than I originally realized. Nancy Collins, the author of the anti-vamp character, Sonja Blue, is a part of the 'legal protest' about the Underworld movie.

Haven't seen the movie (natch) but was aware of the past collaboration of White Wolf and Nancy Collins. She edited and wrote some things for WW. There is at least one 'Sonja' story that does a 'cross-over' with the WW World of Darkness setting.

Collins had written recently that she was 'moving on' from the horrorpunk stories that she was so well known for—-which is neither here nor there if the movie really grabs ideas from Collins. The partnership of Collins and WW was almost a natural thing—since so much of WW's product is inspired by the 'human struggle' portrayed so well in the Sonja books.
