There ought to be a better way to hold onto your settings and essentials when a computer goes belly up.
That is all.
There is, it just doesn't work very well in Windows. [Computer geek warning.] You just keep all your essential files in a CVS server somewhere on your network. Makes it easy to setup a new computer with all your stuff on it.
Out of curiousity ... how do you make sure you have all your config files? Your id setups, your fav urls, or your passwords?
