Today is the anniversary of JFK's Assassination. The first IRE, then asks you to take that idea and turn it into a game scenario for a campaign.

A charismatic prince at the height of his popularity is struck down unexpectedly. It rocks the family. Caine was the hero of PatternFall. Caine has powerful brothers and perhaps scattered scions in shadow who know how to make things happen. And so the hunt for Rinaldo begins.

But this is not a time travel adventure. That all happened long ago.

Attend now in the present. Such family tales are often recounted over beers and other stronger drink in the Eternal City. Younger members of the family have questions: "What was Uncle Caine like? Did you hunt for his killer?"

"Uncle Gerard, why did you let Rinaldo live?"

Upon hearing such tales, many things are revealed that make a fine session for one or two PCs. For knowing something about the past always illuminates the future. Even to the point of creating new feelings, new alliances, and new adventure.
