Chain Of Assumptions [statconventions]
It's hard to get GMs talking about the arbitration behind the rules regarding combat. Here's a reasonable and succinct page that gives a Corwin canon feel.
I really am enjoying that game, and went back and reread this, because, as you know, I pay little to no attention to how things are run. It is nice to have it laid out like that, and reminds me why Dina really does try to moderate her behavior toward her relatives (although one might not be able to tell from her mouth.)
