In Memoriam

December 7, 1941.

A Day that will live in Infamy.

I really want to go and see the Arizona memorial. Someday.

File under Conspiracy therory. Was the Pearl Harbor attack allowed to happen?

An hour and a half before the attack an enemy submarine was spotted and sunk by the U.S. Navy one mile off Pearl Harbor, and a half-hour later a huge radar blip which "had to be a huge flight of planes 137 miles to the north" was reported. No action was taken on either warning.

Technicaly... since America attacked the mini-sub it could be said we started the war. But on that I am quibbeling.

Several books and such have been published on this. One interesting fact, rarely reported. 3 days before the attack all 3 Carrier groups were pulled from Pearl Harbor and went on "Training Manuvers" to the South East.

Carriers won the battle of the Pacific. Battleships like the Arizona were already obsolete
