Okay, so I made a Favorite SF writer dailybracket...

I purposefully concentrated on SF, not Fantasy. And I realize I picked 32 of my favorite
writers at random.

I had some interesting decision trees as the tree played out. It was a lot of fun.

Asimov v. Vance. Oh the pain of watching a true giant fall in the first round.

Heinlein v. Clarke. Again, a massive old-timer's match up early.

Niven v. De Camp. Ok a serious upset here. Niven should have won easily.

Ellison v. Swanick Oh the horror! I have no mouth and I must scream at this. But Harlen wouldn't have made it past round two, anyway.

Herbert v. Williams Wow another slug fest!

No Delany, Simak, Le Guin or Spinrad? No William Gibson? No Philip K. Dick?? No Mike Resnick???
And, OMG no TED STURGEON????

Well, Greg, it was hard to narrow it down to 32. I could have done a 64 bracket, since I skipped in addition to the authors you mentioned a slate of others ranging from Orson Scott Card to Robert Charles Wilson.

And I do like how the brackets panned out...and provided an upset or two. That's how real playoff brackets work sometimes.

Why don't you make one of your own?

I did it, but something went horribly wrong.
