Received this birthday gift in my e-mail this morning. Storn illustrated my newest Champions character, Robin Hood of Terra Fae, the Robin Hood of a world where all the myths, legends and fables live.

In the first adventure, Robin met a few of the other PCs: The Beast (Joe), The King's Man (Neil), Munin (Odin's messenger, played by Storn) and Jack the Giant Killer (or "Just Jack" as we called him, played by Matt). The only other PC left for him to meet is "The Last Lost Boy." The group had a run-in with the Lollypop Guild, which was working as mafia-like enforcers for "The Stepmother." There was some tension between the King's Man and Robin....since the King's Man works for the King, no matter who that king is and Robin refuses to recognize and unjust king. Robin pilfered some gold from Prince Charming to give to the poor...only to find that in his lands the poor weren't as bad as Nottingham. The King's Man hit on Wendy (Peter Pan's ex) and we all eventually ended up at The Beast's castle where they promised to help him rescue his wife-to-be from her kidnapper: Bluebeard. (Robin, of course, got The Beast's promise to help him against his immortal opponent: The Sherrif.)
Jvstin writes: Some of the most exciting news today has nothing to do with Presidential News Conferences or the price of oil or anything like that.
No, the news that the extinct Ivory Billed Woodpecker may not be quite as extinct as one might think.
And so our twentieth Game IRE is set: The rediscovery of a thought-lost creature and its impact on the PCs and their world.
Our challenge is to create a game scenario based on this kind of event.
....since I'm on a "Mortal: the Mundane" kick, I will set this game on Modern Earth with no supernatural elements.
The PCs are environmentalists. It is the 1960's and one of the great forests in the Southeastern U.S. has been bought by a lumber company and they are scheduled to start harvesting the trees. There are rumours that local bird watchers have seen the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker in the forest and the PC group has been trying to stop the lumber company. However noone believes the sightings and if they do not find evidence, the lumber company will not be able to be stopped.
When the PCs start making too much noise or if they actually get any evidence that the bird still lives in the forest, the company sends in some thugs to silence them. Can the PCs get the evidence they need and protect it from destruction?
When they manage to escape the thugs attempt to silence them into the forest, can they manage to make it someplace safe before the thugs find them?
