Cadwallon

The makers of the Confrontation and Ragnarok mini games are coming out with a RPG in the setting this summer and I'm really looking forward to it. Set in the free city of Cadwallon, it's going to be a fantastic city of guilds and intrigues but most interesting to me is the concept. They have it advertised as a RPG with miniatures and have promised it will be different than anything you've seen before. Seeing how much Confrontation was different from other mini games, I believe they can come up with some cool innovations, so I'm hoping that this won't just turn out to be another Inquisitor or worse: D&D 3.5. (No offense to the d20 players out there but 3.5's use of miniatures seemed that it was more of a forced attempt to make folks buy more D&D minis and not something that actually gave the game more depth. Inquisitor seems more like a "roleplaying game with minis" but it needs more roleplaying aspects.)

Game ideas

I've been having a few game ideas coming to me lately and want to get them down somewhere so I can remember them come time to submit games for ACNW:

Dead Like You- All the PCs are new reapers like the ones in Dead Like Me. Something happened to the old reapers working the same beat and there's a few visiting reapers in town to help while the PCs get the ropes of the business. There would be a mystery about what is going on in the town.

Gargoyles and Grails- The PCs would be Gargoyles like the ones in the animated series who usually turn to stone during the day. Years ago their clan helped the templars protect a cup.....a grail of sorts. The Templars believed it to be the holy grail while the Gargoyles believed it to be a fae artifact but whatever it is, it is very powerful and if it falls in to the wrong hands it could be very dangerous. Several gargoyles volunteered to be turned to stone in the hiding place of the grail only to awaken if the grail was in danger of falling in to the wrong hands. Years pass and the gargoyles wake up. They were in someone's collection of statues (Xanatos?) and they know the grail is danger somewhere out there in the modern world but they don't know where the grail is now. I've also thought about taking this basicgame premise and changing the locale to the Dreaming City as a pregen game for the setting (with the option that the players can keep the characters afterwords to use in other DC games).
