I got up to a store on Wednesday to look at some of the new Finecast figures from GW. They look nice, but reports are coming in that they melt in the sun. Too bad. I was actually starting to think that they might actually be worth buying. The details on the figs I looked at were good. I didn't see any bubbling like has been reported by a lot of folks online, and I hear they are easy to convert. No wonder. The plastic/resin mix is so cheap it doesn't take much heat to make them malleable. According to the linked blog, it just takes that brutal tropical sun that the UK is known for.
I like to leave my figs in the back seat of my car from time to time and would like to come back to figs that aren't melty piles of goo.
