The Force in game

The Force can guide and support choices without specific knowledge. It also allows great effort to be successful beyond human expectation. Being trained in the Force gives P Cs access to all the various Force skills. It allows each apprentice to build a lightsaber.

In our game, it also allows a flexible pool of dramatic competent effort.

If not under direct attack by the Force, you may lend a rank of Force to any Expert Specialty effort, or use the Force to try and learn something about a person, or use a Force specialty, or try to make plans fall out your way.

With the Force, accidents often work for you and you know when to grab for a handhold you cannot see.

If your Force ranks are in balance, you are a wider conduit of the Force. You will sense things from greater distances and flow with the Force. Add both Light and Dark ranks for these passive actions (double apparent rank.)

For conflict, it is not possible to use both Dark and Light Force ranks together. It is possible to use a Force Specialty in combat (though usually not against a prepared Force user.) You may even use a Dark Force Specialty when your higher Force rank is Light (and the reverse.)

Saving life is a Light Force event.
Taking life is a Dark Force event.
