Setar Pi

Setar left Shili at a relatively early age, expecting to be an academician due to his love of research. It was in traveling that first time that he became enamoured of technology and their uses, specifically blasters and pistols. Maybe it had been the captain's quick use of his pistol when the pirates had boarded the freighter, but the archaic projectile weapon seemed something of beauty and Setar began learning in earnest about weapons. As his interest in them and their makeup spread, he began to study alchemy. It was here that his talents began to take form and his innate Force connection to mecha display itself. He was approached by a Dark Alchemist and offered tutelage in return for service. It was in these early classes that he encountered Per Samvel, while they were still concerned with that which was in common in their fields, not the disparite differences that would eventually seperate them. Like many alchemists before him, Setar was diligent in chronicaling his studies for future students and in the hope of discovering some sort of immortality, after he was chosen for the Sleeper Project hid away his research in a holocron.

He supposed that his inclusion in the project was due to his ability to provide the subjects with weapons that would still be servicable no matter when they awoke. A blaster might lose power or focus through disuse, but sharpen a blade's edge and it will serve you in any atmosphere or gravity. Setar does have a personal sidearm which he calls his "Caster". A single shot, breech loaded hand cannon of sorts, it uses unique rounds which Setar creates with his Mechu-deru and delivers either Dark Energy or specific Force Powers at extended ranges.

  • Her staves are built of a light and flexible wood called Mabolo which Setar Pi found on the dead planet Kamagong in the Pax System. After fire hardening the two staves, he used Mechu-deru to infuse them with Dark Energy and Sith Alchemy to bond them with a cortosis weave so that they might resist the early lazer swords that were becoming common among the jedi before the project began.In watching the perfection of her weapon skills and the inherant dark beauty of her nature, Setar became drawn to her as he had not thought about a woman in decades.

  • The enigmatic Chiss's amazing profiencies with pistols inspired Setar's own training with his Caster further. While he never will fully understand the Gun Kata that Kalin uses, he has in time become something of a crackshot himself.
