Trackbacking

Someone needs to teach me how to do this. Please? Someone?

For you to Trackback to other people's posts:

Go to your main MT menu for the weblog and click on the WEBLOG CONFIG button. Then choose "Preferences," and then "Publicity / Remote Interfaces / TrackBack", and look down 'til you find "Turn on TrackBack auto-discovery?" Make sure the box is checked. Simple.

For Trackbacks to your posts to show up on your weblog:

You need to add the correct tags to your main index template....but since I'm using a modified version of a template that already had them in there, I'm not sure just what you need to add. Hopefully someone else can help with that....

You also want to turn pings on by default in the same part of the weblog config. You'd have to turn them on manually on old entries. We do things like that in the SQL database on whiterose.

If you get comments emailed, you can also get trackbacks emailed.
