2005 Has Hope

"The greatest gift is a passion for reading. It is cheap, it consoles, it distracts, it excites, it gives you knowledge of the world and experience of a wide kind. It is a moral illumination."

-Elizabeth Hardwick

Since I am going to be done with school in just under 6 weeks, most of the year will be available for reading. And thus begins, the book list. I am not going to assign myself goals and parameters this year. We will just read, and enjoy.

Read:
The Beauty Bride by Claire Delacroix
In progress:
To Reign in Hell by Steve Brust
The Life of Louis XIV's Mistress Athenias, The Real Queen of France by Lisa Hilton
The Americanization of Benjamin Franklin by Gordon S. Wood
The Ninefold Key by Rebecca Brandwyne
Mythology of the American Nations by David M Jones and Brian L Molyneaux
The Native American: The Indigenous People Of North American [A Compilation of Histories and Pictures] Edited by Colin Taylor, with William Sturtevant of the Smithsonian as the Technical Consultant.

I've only read the Brust.

Have you read it before?

No. I've read Phoenix Guards, 500 Years After, and Freedom and Necessity (with Bull), but just now getting around to this, with the lovely intro by Roger in it.

I doubt I'll get it done before I ask him to sign it at the upcoming con... but who knows. We shall see.
