An Update? Oh, very well.

I hurt my back. I don't know how. Doc on Tuesday, and in the mean time got to find out I'm also allergic to vicodin. Yay, what fun! Anyway, painful back eats my life.

I had been walking, and I'm thinking about starting that again, tenderly. I still haven't made up my mind about whether I'm doing the 2008 3 Day Walk yet. I'm waiting to find out what I did to my back before trying a test walk and determining just how determined I am.

I got a new job. I'm working at Pcubed now. I report to the controller and CFO and do the North American accounting. I'm still in training-up phase, but I love the people there, the job is interesting, and I'm learning a ton. I enjoyed Borders, but there was a lot of transition going on there and this opportunity presented itself to me - it was too good to pass on.

Fiona is doing well, although she's in preteen angst/negativity/push/pull mode. She's an editor on the school paper (first 7th grade editor ever) and is joining drama club and since she Does Not Want to do a sport, our compromise is she'll do an hour of DDR every day. She does it on expert mode a lot, so this is a real workout. She's still playing piano, still writing scripts, in the chorus and is running for student council, which she expects to lose. (I expect she will too, as a big non-conformer, she definitely is not in the usual electable category. But who knows, right?) She is also doing figure skating lessons currently.

Jeff is in between tries at quitting smoking. I really with we had $10K for rehab, because that's what he needs. Otherwise, he's still at UM and doing fine. He's thinking about taking guitar lessons.

My garden is incredible, just incredible, but my mom has my (her) camera, so no pics at this time.

My next con will be UCon - if nothing busts up that plan - so hope to see some folks there.
